Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Over 10K Course Katie Ibey from San Marcos, TX delivered a commendable performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Her race strategy saw a progressive improvement in pace, starting at 11:36 min/mile in the first mile and culminating with a swift pace of 8:23 min/mile in the final stretch. This impressive negative split strategy helped her secure an overall elapsed pace of 10:21 min/mile, a significant advancement compared to her previous pace of 10:35 min/mile over a longer half marathon distance in 2023.
