Consistent Start with Room for Strategic Adjustments Koby Dudley showcased a commendable performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the half marathon in 2:12:02 with an average pace of 10:04 min/mile. Starting strong, Koby covered the initial mile in 9:43, eventually increasing his pace to 9:07 min/mile by mile 3. The early segments indicate a promising foundation, especially with a 9:11 min/mile pace during the second mile. Notably, his splits between miles 2 and 3 were some of his fastest, demonstrating efficient pacing early in the race. At mile 6, he managed a pace of 9:12 min/mile, suggesting consistency in the first half. As the race progressed, there was a noticeable deceleration, highlighted by the 10:22 min/mile pace at mile 7 and 10:48 min/mile at mile 8. Koby's position in the M25-29 division fluctuated, peaking early and settling at 158th by mile 13, out of 3859 participants overall. Identifying a pacing strategy for the latter half could further optimize performance. Great effort representing "Goblins, Goons, & Gremlins"!
