Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Dana Klein demonstrated impressive pacing in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. She maintained a steady and competitive pace throughout the race, finishing with an overall time of 1:12:50 and an average pace of 5:33 min/mile. Starting the race with a 6:14 min/mile pace for the first mile, Dana found her rhythm quickly. Notably, her fastest splits were at mile 12 and mile 13 with times of 5:20 and 4:55 respectively, suggesting excellent stamina and speed in the latter part of the race. With a finish in the top percentile for participants, Dana secured 3rd place in the F25-29 division and 7th place among female runners, out of a total of 3,859 participants. A particular strength was maintaining a consistent pace between miles 4 to 11, ranging from 5:36 to 5:44 min/mile. Working on her pacing strategy in the early miles may help optimize her overall performance for future races.
