Consistent Performance with Late Race Challenges Salem Becker completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon in 3:57:36, maintaining a consistent pace across the initial splits. He showed impressive progress between miles 2 and 5, holding a pace in the 7:30s and gradually improving his division placement, reaching as high as 65th in his M19-24 category by mile 3. Salem maintained a sub-8-minute pace until mile 10, showcasing his strong early performance. However, from mile 11 onward, the pace began to slow, peaking at a 12:17 split time during mile 11. The average pace for the entire race was 9:04 min/mile. Notably, his pace improved again briefly in the final mile, clocking in at 8:32. Despite a larger array of competitors, Salem managed a commendable position within his division, showing potential for pacing strategy adjustments in future races to maintain early momentum.
