Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Quin Gardner #22420 Race: 2025 Mesa 10K Distance: 6.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Accelerating Through the Miles Quin Gardner from Mesa, AZ achieved an impressive average pace of 8:46 min/mile over the 10K distance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Throughout the race, he maintained consistent improvement in his split times, notably quickening his pace to 7:48 min/mile in the final mile, demonstrating a strong finishing kick. Quin’s overall time was 54:21 which positioned him 8th in his M50-54 division. Starting the race with a 9:19 min/mile pace, Quin effectively accelerated through miles 2 and 3, and managed to reclaim some lost time from the slower split in mile 4. Maintaining a strong position among 2107 participants, he placed 190th in the male category. Being part of the Ridge Runners team, Quin shows promising potential. Continuing to work on maintaining pace in middle splits could further enhance race outcomes in future events. Well done on a solid performance!
