Consistent Performance with Steady Pacing Hayley Sanchez delivered a steady performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon's Half Marathon event. Starting strong, her first mile was clocked at a 9:57 pace, which she slightly improved by the third mile to 9:44. In the initial stages, she maintained a spot within the top 150 female competitors in her division. Notably, despite fluctuations, Hayley managed to keep her pace around the 10-minute mark through the first six miles. In the latter half, the splits show a gradual increase in lap times. Moving from a pace of 9:51 by mile 3, she edged to an 11:15 pace by mile 13. Hayley finished with an elapsed time of 2:23:12, maintaining an average pace of 10:55 per mile. Her discipline kept her competitive, finishing in the midst of her category's field. A future focus could be on sustaining earlier paces throughout to enhance endurance in subsequent races.
