Steady Start with Opportunities Late in the Race Christopher McLean displayed a consistent performance throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon. He began with an impressive split of 8:52 for the first mile, maintaining a steady pace just over 9 minutes per mile through the initial 5 miles. His initial splits placed him within the top 100 in his age group, highlighting a strong start to the race. As the marathon progressed, Christopher's pace gradually increased, notably from the 11th mile onward. His pace shifted from 10:10 to 12:07 per mile by the end. Despite this, Christopher managed to secure his position, completing the marathon with an elapsed time of 5:19:10 and an overall placement of 2796 out of 3624 participants. Focusing on maintaining a consistent pace in the latter stages could improve his overall time, allowing him to capitalize on his strong start.
