Consistent Performance with Strong Early Splits Michael Toone, running for Team Toone Town, delivered a commendable performance at the 2026 Mesa Marathon half marathon. Maintaining an overall pace of 10:26 min/mile, he completed the 13.1-mile race in a time of 2:16:48. Notably, his strongest performances were in the early stages, holding steady paces of 9:57 and 9:56 min/mile during miles 2 and 4, positioning him well in the M70-74 division. Michael finished 6th in his division, showing a commendable determination and competitiveness throughout the race. Looking at Michael's performance throughout the course, it is clear he had a solid start and mid-race, with the first six miles showing consistent split paces around the 10-minute mile mark. A slight decline in pace was observed later, particularly in the final two miles where paces were 11:07 and 10:56 min/mile.
