Strong Start with Consistent Effort Vayden Mueller completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half with an elapsed time of 2:56:23, displaying a consistent pace throughout the race. She maintained an overall pace of 13:27 min/mile over the 13.1-mile distance. A promising start was observed with a 9:44 min/mile split for the first mile, placing 6th in her age division early on. Her performance demonstrated tenacity, as she managed to stabilize and sustain her pace in the subsequent miles. Notably, Vayden's splits showed areas of consistency, with brief variations between 12:39 and 14:21 min/mile. Maintaining a focused effort, she navigated through shifting positions, concluding 47th in her age group out of a competitive field of runners. Although her initial speed decreased slightly, her persistence in the latter stages allowed her to maintain a strong finish. For future races, paying attention to pacing strategies could further enhance the performance. Great determination throughout the race!
