Consistent Splits with Strong Mid-Race Performance Mindi Watson tackled the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with remarkable consistency in her pacing. She started with a solid first mile at a 9:29 min/mile pace and managed to slightly pick up speed by the second mile with a 9:20 min/mile pace. Notably, her third-mile split was the quickest at 9:15 min/mile, demonstrating a well-managed early race effort. Although the pace slightly slowed in the later miles, Mindi maintained a steady pace close to 10:00 min/mile, finishing with an elapsed time of 2:09:08 and an average pace of 9:51 min/mile. Throughout the race, Mindi managed to maneuver through a crowded field of 4125 participants, finishing 873rd among females and 72nd in her division.
