Consistent Effort, Steady Pace Hema completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K with an overall time of 2:02:57 and an average pace of 19:49 min/mile. She maintained a consistent effort throughout the race, with initial mile splits closely aligned between 18:12 and 18:56 min/mile before slightly decreasing pace in the latter half. Her overall placement was 2469th out of 2851 participants, and she placed 165th in her division (F40-44). Compared to the previous 2025 Mesa Marathon, her completion time increased by 5 minutes and 28 seconds. Reviewing mile splits, a notable uptick in time occurred after the second mile, increasing from a split pace of 19:14 to 21:02 min/mile by mile six. Focusing on maintaining a consistent pace, particularly from the midpoint, could be beneficial for future races.
