Steady Improvement Shines Through Consistent Pacing Kate Crandell finished the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a time of 1:51:09, running an overall consistent pace of 8:29 min/mile. She maintained a solid performance throughout the race as illustrated by stable split times ranging from 8:16 min/mile to 8:45 min/mile. Notably, she achieved her fastest mile on the final segment, clocking 7:48 min/mile, showing a strong finish. Throughout the race, Kate positioned herself impressively, placing 14th in her division during the fastest split at mile 13. Although marginal shifts in placement were observed, ranging from 14th to 19th in her division, she held a steady pace overall. Compared to her previous 10K performances, where her paces reached 8:58 min/mile in 2023, Kate demonstrated growth and endurance at a longer distance. For future races, maintaining this momentum and strategically distributing her energy throughout the race could further enhance her performance.
