Consistent Performance with Speedy Splits Kian Acharya executed a half marathon with a consistent pace, resulting in a total time of 1:39:13 with an overall pace of 7:34 min/mile. Remarkably, his initial split showed a faster pace at 7:11 min/mile, maintaining second place in his division for the first half of the race. Noteworthy in his splits is maintaining a swift sub-7:20 min/mile pace up until the 5-mile mark, indicating strong early race strategy. However, there was a slight slowdown in later miles, with the twelfth mile being the slowest at an 8:11 min/mile split. Impressively, Kian finished the race 5th in the M1-14 age division, amidst a large field of 4,125 participants. His improvement over previous races demonstrates his advancing skills. Previously, Kian ran a 10K with a 7:25 min/mile pace. Further focusing on maintaining pace in the final miles could enhance overall time, but his consistent pacing already signals strong potential.
