Strong Finish with Even Splits Kevin Meyer of San Tan Valley, AZ, competed in the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a final elapsed time of 2:32:29, averaging an 11:38 min/mile pace over the 13.1-mile course. Kevin placed 2923rd out of 4125 participants. Notably, the consistency in his pacing is highlighted by a gradual improvement in the first half of the race, reducing his split times from 11:49 min/mile at the first mile to 10:48 min/mile by the sixth mile. Kevin maintained an even pace in the second half of the race, with split times remaining mostly around the 11:11 mark until mile 8. While the pace slightly increased towards the end, the deviation was minimal. The remarkable performance includes completing the 11th mile in 12:00 min/mile.
