Consistent Progression Over Multiple Years Betsy Stimpson completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in 3:21:57, pacing 15:25 min/mile. There was improvement in pace and time compared to previous years. Last year's result was closely matched at 3:22:36 with a slightly slower pace of 15:27 min/mile, and the 2023 result at 3:33:06 with a 16:16 min/mile pace. Betsy's consistency is noteworthy consistently finishing within her division. During the race, Betsy started strong with a 12:12 min/mile pace for the first mile. Notable pace changes occurred between miles 4 and 7, where pace gradually slowed from 13:38 to 14:35 min/mile. Maintaining a more consistent pace, especially in the latter half, could further enhance performance. Placing well within her age division F45-49, Betsy demonstrated steady progress. Keep building on this foundation, and continuing focused pacing in later segments may prove beneficial for subsequent races.
