Consistent Effort in the Half Marathon Debut Anwesha Manchanda maintained a strong and consistent performance throughout the 2026 Mesa Marathon, completing the half marathon in 2:00:25 with an average pace of 9:11 min/mile. Starting with a solid pace of 8:22 min/mile for the first mile, she kept her pace steady in the early stages, with only slight fluctuations. Her splits from miles 5 through 8 show a slight increase in pace, ranging from 8:32 min/mile to 9:40 min/mile, suggesting a need to maintain initial speed in the latter stages of the race. Particularly impressive was Anwesha's placement in her division, securing 4th place throughout the race in the F1-14 category. Out of 4,125 participants, she placed 1,527th overall and 636th among females, indicating a commendable effort. In future races, striving for a more consistent pace during the second half could improve her overall performance. Valuable experience can be gained from racing in varied conditions.
