Steady Improvements and Strong Finish Lydia demonstrated consistent pacing throughout her 10K race at the 2026 Mesa Marathon. Starting with a pace of 17:47 min/mile during the first mile, she gradually picked up speed, recording her fastest split in the final stretch with a 16:28 min/mile pace. This acceleration in the last mile is an excellent sign of her ability to finish strong. While maintaining fairly consistent splits for most of the race, Lydia showed significant improvement in the latter half, particularly between miles four and six.
