Impressive Progression and Strong Finish Zyg Stafa demonstrated a consistent improvement in split times during the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting at a solid pace of 7:23 minutes per mile, Zyg progressively increased the tempo, achieving his fastest split in mile six at 6:06 minutes per mile. Notably, he improved his placement significantly from 108th overall in the first mile to finishing 77th overall, showing an impressive strategic ability to advance through the field. Zyg maintained a commendable average pace of 6:52 minutes per mile over the 6.2-mile race, concluding with a total elapsed time of 42:40. Within his age division (M25-29), he placed 14th among 2851 participants. The greatest positional gains were observed between the third and fourth miles, where Zyg moved from 55th to 95th and then to 86th, indicating a robust effort to stay competitive.
