Steady Start with a Strong Finish Britton Worthen participant in the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon from Phoenix, AZ, completed the race with an elapsed time of 5:23:24 over a distance of 13.1 miles, averaging a pace of 24:41 min/mile. He maintained steady pacing through the first five miles, each with a split pace of 42:09 min/mile. Remarkably, he accelerated towards the end of the race, with his splits revealing a significant decrease in pace from 42:09 to 13:38 min/mile at the finish.
