Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Ryan Jackson, from Mesa, AZ, completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in 1:55:39, maintaining an average pace of 8:49 min/mile. Initially placed 1052 overall in the first mile, Ryan maintained a consistently strong pace throughout the race, never straying far from the 8:50-8:57 min/mile range until she surged in the last portion. Impressively, her last two miles were particularly strong; mile 12 clocked in at 8:25 min/mile and she dropped to 8:09 min/mile for the final mile. This helped her finish 1231st overall, out of 4125 participants. In her division, Female 25-29, Ryan held a stable standing, finishing in 91st place. The strategic pacing in the early miles set a solid foundation for her negative splits towards the race's end. There is potential to keep improving her standing in earlier stages by starting a bit quicker, which could improve her overall position in future events.
