Consistent Start, Challenging Finish Cody Perry from Person, AZ, ran a steady first half at the 2026 Mesa Marathon. Notable early splits include the 9th mile at a 10:10 min/mile pace, maintaining a consistent pace near the 10-minute mark for much of the first 10 miles. Cody showed strength in maintaining a sub-10-minute pace particularly during miles 2 through 4, reaching the halfway point at 1:50:30 with a pace of 10:02 min/mile. His strongest placement was during mile 8, ranking 139th in his division. The later stages presented tougher splits, notably with mile 24 being a major impact point, seeing a slowdown to 25:42 min/mile. Overall, Cody completed the marathon with a total time of 5:56:42 and an average pace of 13:36 min/mile.
