Consistent Pace with Notable Improvement Nathan Lentsch completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon with a time of 2:55:21, averaging a pace of 6:41 min/mile. This marks a significant improvement from his previous marathon in 2024 where he finished in 3:08:04 with a pace of 7:10 min/mile. Notably, Nathan achieved a notable jump in his division, finishing 7th in the M40-44 category compared to 48th in the M35-39 category in his past race. He started strong, maintaining an impressive pace of 6:06 min/mile for the first mile. The consistency in pacing was commendable. During many of the later miles, notably from mile 13 to mile 15, Nathan maintained a stable pace of 6:24 min/mile. However, the latter stages from miles 17 onwards showed a gradual slowing, with mile split times increasing to 7:23 for mile 22. Focus on strengthening endurance to maintain early paces in future races. Overall, Nathan's performance indicates great potential for his future running endeavors.
