Consistent Pacing with Room for Growth Monica's performance in the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon demonstrated a steady pace throughout the race. She finished with an overall time of 1:53:48, maintaining an average pace of 8:41 min/mile. Notably, her initial splits displayed effective pacing, as her first five miles were particularly strong, with the fastest mile split recorded at mile 5 with an 8:25 min/mile pace. In the latter half of the race, the pace slightly decreased, with the slowest split at mile 10, at 8:56 min/mile. Monica ranked 1110 overall out of 4125 participants, with a placement of 444th in her gender category and 82nd in her division (F25-29). This reflects a consistent level of performance within the larger race field. Impressively, she improved her standing in her division, moving from 80th in the second mile to 56th in the eighth mile. Working on maintaining the initial pacing throughout the race could enhance her future performances.
