Consistent Start with Opportunities to Sharpen Later Miles Irene Contreras commenced the race with a consistent pace in the first four miles, maintaining her splits around the 11:00-11:10 min/mile mark. Her fastest split occurred in the third mile at a pace of 10:55 min/mile. She showed strong positioning initially, particularly in her division (F30-34), starting at 205th place. As the half marathon progressed, there was a noticeable decline in pace, especially between miles 6 to 13. The slowest split happened in mile 12 with a pace of 16:56 min/mile. This dip resulted in a division placement of 296th by the race's conclusion. To enhance future performance, focusing on maintaining a steady pace in the latter portions of the race could prove beneficial.
