Consistent Pace and Improved Performance Desirae McConnell showed consistent improvement in the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K. Her finish time of 46:02 with an average pace of 7:25 min/mile marks a solid progression from her previous 10K where she clocked in at 48:10. Notably, her splits demonstrate a strategic acceleration, starting at a 7:54 min/mile pace and closing out the race with a 6:57 min/mile pace on the final lap. This steady improvement allowed her to secure an overall place of 137 among 2851 participants, finishing 6th in the F35-39 division, which indicates a significant qualitative leap from her 11th place finish in the 2025 edition.
