Steady Start with a Strategic Finish Peter Chapman ran a strong race at the 2026 Mesa Marathon. His consistent early pace ranged between 9:08 and 9:17 min/mile, allowing him to maintain a stable position within his division. He briefly sped up in the 6th mile with his fastest split of 8:59 min/mile, showing his capability to adjust pace effectively. Notably, during Mile 12, he climbed impressively in division standings to 39th position, a highlight in his performance. In the latter stages, Peter demonstrated endurance by maintaining an overall pace of 9:45 min/mile. While he slowed slightly in the final miles, his overall placement was commendable, finishing 100th in his division out of 3509 participants. Consistent pacing and strategic bursts in speed were effective throughout. A slight improvement in the final miles could enhance overall race time for future events.
