His placement was 1471st among male participants and 153rd in the M45-49 division. A closer look reveals more stability in earlier stages, such as a consistent pace around 10:23 min/mile by mile six. Dan's most impressive leap in placement occurred around mile 8, improving his division rank to 93rd. While the latter half included a slowdown, individual splits like mile 19's 12:09 showed potential for pacing strategy adjustments in future races.
