Improvement Through Consistent Pacing and Gradual Acceleration Talmage Swindle maintained a consistent pace for the first five splits, each registered at approximately 40:28 minutes per mile. Between miles 6 and 13, he demonstrated an impressive pace adjustment, progressively reducing his split times. Of notable mention is the significant transition between mile 5, with a 40:27 pace, and mile 6, where the pace dropped to 25:53, ultimately culminating in an average pace of 25:47 over the 13.1-mile course. Talmage concluded the 2026 Mesa Marathon with a final time of 5:37:54, ranking 3767th overall out of 4125 participants in a prominent half marathon event.
