Consistent Effort With Slight Variability Amy maintained a steady pace throughout her half marathon, finishing with an overall time of 2:17:51 and an average pace of 10:31 min/mile. Her performance remained consistent across splits, with a minor fluctuation from a 9:48 min/mile in the early stages to an 11:21 min/mile observed at the 10th mile. Early splits were notably strong, especially the first two miles, where Amy stayed under a 10:00 min/mile pace. As the race progressed, mile times slightly increased, with splits in the last few miles consistently over 11:00 min/mile. The strongest split in terms of division placing occurred at mile 2, placing her 18th in her division. While pace decreased toward the end, its encouraging that Amy remained within a close range of time, with her final position being 34th in the F55-59 division. Focusing on maintaining pace in latter segments could optimize future performances.
