Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Molly Smith maintained a commendably consistent pace throughout the 2026 Mesa Marathon half marathon event. Starting off with a pace of 7:34 min/mile in the first mile, she kept her pace steady around the 7:37 min/mile mark through much of the race. Notably, from mile 10 forward, her pace quickened, culminating in an impressive final mile pace of 6:45 min/mile. Her overall elapsed time for the 13.1 miles was 1:38:18, with an average pace of 7:30 min/mile. In her age division (F19-24), Molly placed 11th out of the participants, showing strong competitiveness. Consistent pacing showed throughout, but mile 3 saw a slight drop in pace with a 7:57 min/mile. Focusing on pacing strategies in future races could potentially enhance her performance even more.
