Steady Progress with Significant Improvements in Pace Wesley Dos Santos completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with an impressive elapsed time of 2:29:45, averaging an 11:25 min/mile pace. This indicates a deliberate attempt to quicken his pace compared to last year's 11:29 min/mile. Wesley's finish placed him 2839th overall out of 4125 participants, and 225th in the M25-29 division. Noteworthy is his consistency in the first two miles, establishing an initial pace close to his average at 11:55 and 11:57 min/mile respectively. The latter part of Wesley's race showed considerable improvements. He notably accelerated in the last mile clocking a surprising 9:38 min/mile pace, which was his fastest, demonstrating endurance and a strong finish strategy. Splits between miles 4 and 10 showed some fluctuations, with a slight slowdown observed at mile 4 with a pace of 14:48 min/mile.
