Consistent Performance with Strategic Pacing Andrew Hansen maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Mesa Marathon half marathon, finishing with an elapsed time of 2:41:06 at an average pace of 12:17 min/mile. His performance showed strategic pacing, with a steady start of 11:48 min/mile on the first mile and maintaining a strong sub-12 pace in multiple early splits. A nice push in mile 5 with an 11:10 min/mile pace showcased Andrew's ability to conserve energy and strategically place a strong mid-race effort. Andrews pacing varied slightly throughout the course, with the most significant slowdown happening in mile 6, where he clocked a 13:09 min/mile. Despite this challenge, he demonstrated resilience, maintaining an overall consistent performance by adjusting back to mid-12 min/mile paces towards the end. His efforts placed him 213th in the M35-39 division out of widespread competition. Targeting pace improvements in the latter part could help maintain earlier momentum. Great effort overall, Andrew!
