Consistent Pace with Strong Finish Claire Milburn completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with an overall time of 1:22:44, maintaining an impressive average pace of 6:18 min/mile. Throughout the race, Claire demonstrated a consistent performance with minimal pace variation, especially notable in miles 1 and 3, each clocking in at a strong 6:11 min/mile pace. Her best splits occurred at miles 5 and 1, timed closely at 6:08 and 6:11 respectively. While Claire held steady positions in the F25-29 division, notable improvement came in the later stages of the race where her overall placement climbed. Notably, she achieved her top division placement, 8th, on the final mile, marking a strong finish. With more strategic pacing in the middle stagesparticularly concentrating on minimizing the slight slowing evidenced in mile 12 (6:28 min/mile) and 13 (6:30 min/mile)Claire can aim for even better results next time.
