Notable improvements were evident in the race's latter half, starting with significant acceleration in the fifth mile, clocking in at a split pace of 14:19 min/mile. This strategic increase in speed during the final mile ensured a strong finish and a higher placement in her division towards the end of the race. Analyzing the splits further, Michelle began with a steady start in the first mile at 15:29 min/mile but encountered a slower second mile, which saw her pace drop to 18:34 min/mile. Despite this, her performance rebounded effectively, finishing with consistently faster split times in miles five and six.
