Steady Pace Breakthrough Kushal Prajapati from PHX Run Club displayed a commendable performance at the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. He maintained a consistent pace, averaging 9:04 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course, finishing with an overall time of 1:58:49. Kushal demonstrated strong pacing skills, particularly in the latter portion of the race, where he regained speed with impressive splits of 8:51 min/mile, 8:53 min/mile, and 8:42 min/mile in the final miles. Reviewing each split, Kushal's performance seemed to weaken mid-race, specifically between miles 4 to 7. There was a noticeable improvement in placement by the 8-mile mark, where he accelerated his pace, successfully securing 104th place in his division. Consistent training focusing on maintaining pace during mid-race could elevate future performances. The final push in the last miles showcased his potential for more competitive times ahead.
