Consistent Effort with a Strong Finish Hannah Girard completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with an overall time of 2:13:30, averaging a consistent pace of 10:11 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course. Notably, there was a strong and strategic finish, evidenced by splits that picked up speed towards the end. In the final 3 miles, she clocked negative splits with paces of 9:15, 9:25, and an impressive 8:38 min/mile, showcasing her strength in maintaining energy and pushing through in the latter part of the race. While her overall ranks placed her in at 2175th, the standout aspect of her performance was her ability to improve her pace gradually over the course, culminating in a dynamic finish. With split times showing a notable improvement in the latter half, focusing on maintaining or enhancing the early race pace could yield even better results in future races.
