Consistent Effort Shows in Mesa Marathon Performance Weijia Ren maintained a steady pace throughout the 13.1-mile Mesa Marathon, finishing with an overall elapsed time of 2:24:54, and an average pace of 11:03 min/mile. Her splits revealed a strong start, with the first mile at 10:47 min/mile, a middle pace of 15:38 min/mile at mile 6, and picking up speed towards the end with a 10:04 min/mile at mile 11. Her final split before the finish was timed at 10:23 min/mile, indicating a moderate recovery of speed. Ren placed 2679th overall out of 4125 participants, 1307th among female runners, and 228th in her division (F30-34). The team "Choe Far, So Good" was proudly represented in this half marathon event. For future races, Ren could work on maintaining her pace in the latter half to offset the slowdown noticeable between miles 6 and 9, which would capitalize on her early and final mile strengths.
