Maintained Steady Splits, Opportunity in Later Miles Ron Trenkamp, representing the Loose Chickens, completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon in a time of 5:17:12, covering a distance of 26.2 miles. His average pace was 12:06 min/mile. Notably, Ron showed consistent pacing through the early part of the race. His mile splits ranged between 10:17 and 11:21 min/mile from miles 1-13, peaking in performance at mile 4 with a split time of 10:09 and his best placement in the M55-59 division at mile 3, where he ranked 81st. In the latter half of the marathon, mile splits ranged from 12:34 to 17:51 min/mile. A challenging split was recorded at mile 18 with a time of 17:51 min/mile, which is an area to focus on for future training.
