Consistent Progression Throughout the Race Jorge Gonzalez delivered a steady performance at the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K. Jorge showcased consistent pacing improvements, starting with a split of 10:31 min/mile in the first mile and progressively decreasing to 10:09 min/mile by the fourth mile. Finishing with a total time of 1:03:49 over the 6.2-mile course, Jorge maintained an overall pace of 10:17 min/miledemonstrating a commendable capacity to keep his energy levels up throughout the race. He finished 59th in the M40-44 division out of significant competition and achieved his best placement of 51st in his division at the 5-mile mark. Encouragingly, Jorge consistently improved his standing each mile, peaking in the fifth mile. For future races, focusing on building a stronger finish similar to his mid-race splits could result in further improvements. Continuing to work on pace control and speed endurance should yield positive results going forward.
