Consistent Early Pacing, Minor Late Race Slowing Casey Lewis demonstrated a steady start at the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. He maintained strong pacing, with his first mile clocking in at 7:12, which placed him 153rd among males and 22nd in his division. By the halfway point, his cumulative pace was 7:34 min/mile, showing consistent effort through the first 6 miles. At mile 8, he picked up the pace slightly, clocking a split of 7:35 min/mile, indicating resilience despite the middle section's slight deceleration. In the latter portion of the race, Casey's pace slightly slowed, with his final 1.1 miles completed at a 7:48 min/mile pace. Although reaching mile 12 at 8:27 min/mile was his slowest split, his overall performance marked a solid improvement over his previous year's half marathon time. Finishing with an overall time of 1:42:18, this years effort demonstrates his continued progress and capacity for maintaining pace over long distances, especially compared to his time of 1:48:05 in 2025.
