Consistent Performance with a Steady Pace Robert Skousen delivered a consistent performance during the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K event, demonstrating steady pacing throughout. His elapsed pace averaged at 6:46 min/mile, resulting in a total race time of 41:58. Remarkably, Robert maintained a consistent pace, with the fluctuation only between 6:41 and 6:59 min/mile across all splits. Starting at a 6:50 min/mile pace for his first mile, he managed a slight improvement in his pacing by covering the second mile at 6:41 min/mile. Notably, Robert showed resilience during the third mile, securing his best split time of 6:42. However, his pace declined slightly in the fifth mile to 6:59 min/mile before picking up again to 6:50 in the final mile. Achieving a 6th place finish in his division of M35-39 among a large field of 2,851 participants highlights his capability. For future races, maintaining the mid-race momentum observed in the third mile could further enhance performance.
