Consistent Effort with Strategic Splits Daniela maintained a steady pace, showcasing consistent splits throughout. Her initial split of 9:24 min/mile at the first mile set a solid foundation, with a slight slowdown observed in later segments. By the 5th mile, her pace slowed to 10:22 min/mile, and by the 17th mile, it further decreased to 14:24 min/mile. However, Daniela managed to finish strong, returning to a pace of 11:02 min/mile for her overall time. Her ability to adjust her pacing demonstrates strategic energy management over the course. In her F45-49 division, Daniela placed 101st, highlighting a competitive performance in a field of 3509 participants at the 2026 Mesa Marathon. Her placement varied, with her best split ranking within her division at mile 8, where she was 62nd.
