Consistent Pace with Opportunities for Refinement Colleen Gardner completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in a time of 2:00:42, with an average pace of 9:12 min/mile. She maintained a consistent pace across most of the race, with mile splits starting at 8:51 and gradually slowing to 9:12 towards the end. Particularly noteworthy are her splits from miles 1 to 6, which averaged closely around the 8:568:57 min/mile mark, demonstrating strong pacing consistency early in the race. Despite a slight slowdown in the latter stages, Colleen's performance shows notable improvement from previous races. Compared to her 2023 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon time of 2:04:49, she shaved off over four minutes. An area for development could be identified in the latter miles, where splits increased above 9:30 min/mile.
