Consistent Pace with Strong Finish Alexis maintained a relatively consistent pace throughout the race, completing the half marathon in 1:50:33 with an average pace of 8:26 min/mile. Her performance in the early and middle stages was steady, with her split times ranging from 8:09 to 8:32 min/mile. Notably, she demonstrated exceptional pacing in the initial miles, particularly with mile 2 at 8:09, her fastest split. She fluctuated slightly in her placement but managed to finish strong, returning to her second-best split pace of 8:17 in mile 8. She showed impressive endurance towards the latter part of the course, although mile 12 and mile 13 saw a slight drop in pace to 8:53 and 8:44 min/mile, respectively. She managed to close the gap between her earlier and later mile placements, starting in the upper 700s in place overall and finishing 935 out of 4125 participants. Working on maintaining her faster mid-race pace for the last third of the race could yield even better results in the future.
