Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish in the Marathon Annika Hiredesai from Scottsdale, AZ, delivered a performance marked by consistent pacing at the 2026 Mesa Marathon. Completing the marathon in 4:02:15, Annika maintained an average pace of 9:14 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. Impressively, she was able to keep all her mile splits mostly within 8:05 to 10:19 min/mile. Her performance ranked her 1451st overall, 504th among females, and 57th in her age division (F19-24) out of 3509 competitors. Analyzing the splits, Annika showed strong early pacing, notably her fastest mile at 8:05 at mile seven. While the later miles saw a slight slowdown, with splits reaching up to 12:58 at mile 19, her determination was evident as she concluded with improved mile splits.
