Strong Finish in Steady Performance Connor VanSolkema maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Mesa Marathon. During the half marathon, VanSolkema managed an average pace of 7:14 min/mile, clocking a final time of 1:34:49. Out of 4125 total participants, Connor consistently showed solid performance. His standout splits include a 6:48 min/mile on the second mile and a strong finish with a 6:58 min/mile for the last mile. Maintaining a pace just over 7 minutes per mile for most of the race, Connor achieved a steady rhythm. While positioning fluctuated slightly throughout, with a final position of 383rd overall, there were fluctuations around the middle sections, particularly noticeable at the third mile. Next time, focusing on maintaining tighter splits particularly after the third and seventh miles can potentially help in narrowing the gap.
