Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish David maintained a steady pace in the early miles, starting with an 8:24 min/mile in the first mile, gradually improving to an 8:04 min/mile pace by mile 10. He showed excellent pacing discipline, managing to stay within a narrow range of times for much of the course. His efforts around mile 4 and mile 6 were particularly noteworthy with split times of 7:54 and 7:50, respectively. In the final stretches, David demonstrated significant strength and stamina, achieving progressively faster split paces, culminating with an impressive 6:57 min/mile in the last mile. His strategic increase in pace after mile 10 suggests well-planned energy distribution throughout the race. Overall, David completed the half marathon event with a final time of 1:43:21, earning a respectable 40th place in his age division. Continued focus on this finishing strength could yield even better results in future races.
