At mile 11, George displayed a burst of speed with a 9:09 min/mile split, briefly boosting his pace. In mile 12, he achieved his fastest division placement, 46th in M35-39, highlighting a strong segment. However, as the race progressed, there was a noticeable decline in pace. Starting at mile 18, George began to slow, recording a 10:30 min/mile split. This decline culminated with split times over 13 minutes per mile from miles 20 through 25.
