Steady Progress with Strong Mid-Race Splits Kamalnayan Jayaraman completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K with a total time of 1:03:00, averaging a pace of 10:09 min/mile. Starting off with a 10:49 min/mile in the first mile, he steadily improved his pace, reaching an impressive 8:57 min/mile by the sixth mile. Notably, Kamalnayan's strongest segment was between the 5th and 6th miles, evidencing his ability to maintain energy and speed towards the end of the race. Kamalnayan finished 22nd in the M50-54 division, placing 920th overall out of 2851 participants and 523rd among male runners. While there was a drop in place overall during mile 4, peaking at 1076, he recovered well, advancing his position by the end. Consistency and mid-race acceleration stood out as strengths.
