Consistent Performance with a Swift Finish Juan Sandoval maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K race. Starting with a solid 11:21 min/mile for the first mile, he showed slight variation in pace over the next few miles. His splits reflect a noticeable improvement in Mile 6, completing it in 10:42 min/mile, the fastest pace of his race. This fast finish contributed to an overall pace of 11:44 min/mile. Impressively, despite the increase in time for Mile 5, Juan's ability to accelerate towards the end is commendable. Ranking 149th in the M25-29 division upon completion, he achieved a total run time of 1:12:47. Continuing to develop that closing speed seen in the last mile can further enhance future performances. Keep focusing on consistency, and consider using early mile splits to gain additional speed. Excellent job representing Team Icy Hot in such a large field of 2,851 participants!
